Do I need my own AI to use Fr8Labs AI?
No. Fr8Labs AI is built in: it reads your shipping documents, tracks containers across 410+ carriers, answers questions about your shipments and prepares routine work for your team to approve. Connecting ChatGPT or Claude is optional — for teams that already use them.
Can I connect ChatGPT or Claude to my freight management system?
Yes. Fr8Labs runs an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. In ChatGPT, find Fr8Labs Analytics in the app directory; in Claude, add Fr8Labs as a connector. You sign in with your own Fr8Labs login, and the assistant only sees what you are allowed to see.
Does Fr8Labs have an MCP server?
Yes. Fr8Labs runs a remote MCP server with three connectors your team can use today: Analytics (ask questions, build dashboards and scheduled reports), Actions (draft jobs, quotes and invoices for a person to confirm) and Notifications (set up alerts and statement-of-account emails). Accounting is in early access. Fr8Labs Analytics is listed in the ChatGPT app directory; the others connect as custom connectors in ChatGPT or Claude. Your company admin decides who can connect.
Can AI create jobs, quotes or invoices in Fr8Labs?
It prepares them, and a person approves them. The AI drafts the job, quote or invoice from your data; nothing is saved until someone on your team confirms it.
Will AI change my accounts without asking?
No. Every change an AI proposes waits for a person on your team to approve it, and closed accounting periods stay locked.
