Yes. Fr8Labs runs a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude can work directly in your freight system. Three connectors are live for customers — Analytics, Actions and Notifications — and Accounting is in early access.
ChatGPT and Claude connect with OAuth — you sign in with your own Fr8Labs login. Fr8Labs Analytics is listed in the ChatGPT app directory; the other connectors are added as custom connectors. Developer tools such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor connect with an API token issued by Fr8Labs.
No. When an assistant creates a job, quote or invoice, it first shows you exactly what it will save, and nothing is written until you confirm. Accounting postings run as a dry run first, and closed accounting periods stay locked.
Your company admin decides, person by person, in Team Access. Financial data and accounting need their own grants on top of that. When someone leaves and their account is deactivated, their connections are revoked.
No. Your company is set on our server from your login — never by the AI — and every connector only reaches what your own Fr8Labs permissions allow.
The Open API connects systems: developers build integrations between your software and ours. The MCP server connects AI assistants: a person works through ChatGPT or Claude, and the assistant uses Fr8Labs on their behalf, under their login. Most forwarders use both.
